Explanation of Solution

Refer to Figure 17-3 in the textbook.

The three-phase motor has three terminals T1, T2, and T3, and these terminals are connected to the lines L1, L2, and L3. A pressure switch is used to control manually the motor. Since the pressure switch used is a two-wire control device, it has two lines L1 and L3 connected to the starter. The disconnect switch is used to disconnect live equipment from line voltage. As the three-phase motor is used, three lines L1, L2, and L3 are used to connect between the disconnect switch and starter.
