This American literature course is a regular-level Junior English class with 26 students (13 males and 13 females). During this course, students read several novels with themes that focus on the American Dream by celebrated American authors. As a result, students seek to define the American Dream as it pertains to their lives and future career goals. Students are 16 to 17-years-old. Have you ever tried annotating? Annotating is the act of adding notes or comments to a text. I do like it and think it’s a good way to stay connected with the book but I happen to not use it that often. When annotating, it sometimes takes me a little to think about what I want to write and that adds a lot of time to reading.
