In Romans 3:21-31 Paul’s goal is to get his readers to understand justification before God comes apart from the law, through faith, without overthrowing that law. He seems to do so successfully using several prevailing socio-rhetorical features which I will point out and discuss very briefly. From my own understanding of socio-rhetorical analysis, learned in class, I see numerous textures used by Paul here. The most obvious one is sacred texture. Paul employs at least four aspects of sacred texture:

Throughout the history of music, lyrics have been used to express different feelings, such as pain, heartache, joy, and love. Songwriters often use their lyrics to show a deeper meaning and message. Oftentimes, people just hear the music, and never actually listen to it. They hear the beat of it, and possibly get a catchy tune stuck in their heads, but never listen to the words, and the point that the songwriter is actually trying to get across. Most of the time, song lyrics are written to spill

INTRODUCTION Waking up in the morning thinking about why, how, when and what is the importance of the world we live in and the interactions with others mean to us. Defining worldview is essentially “a commitment, a fundamental orientation of the heart, that can be expressed as a story or in a set of presuppositions that we hold about the basic constitution of reality, and that provides the foundation on which we live and move and have our being” (Sire, 2016).On the other hand spirituality holds

Italy hosted the birth of the personalities, the present knows as the Renaissance

(biblegateway.com) Wine is a recurring subject that is mentioned all throughout the Bible. You can find verses when wine is portrayed as a gift from God or verses that tell you “wine is a mocker and arouses brawling” (Habakkuk 2:15). However Ecclesiastes 9:7 says “Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do.” If consuming alcohol was a sin, God could not have approved it because that would have contradicted

Man of Boasting Donald Trump is such an extreme; he is his own caricature. This is no more evident than his relentless boasting. Just for fun, see if you can find one occasion that this man speaks without boasted about himself. Good luck. This gets back to what I said about simplicity. People totally focused on themselves are frankly boring. Watching a full speech by Donald Trump is for me the equivalent of drinking a gallon of raw eggs. It’s absolutely nauseating. If he hasn’t started boasting

Roman’s one through has three main points he is teaching which all form one main worldview. First, he teaches us about the sinfulness of man

Many new prophets came about in books Isaiah through Malachi. The goal for the prophets was to have Christ-like characteristics and tell people the good news. God is the shepherd who chooses his prophets to change the future. This was a time where the nation of Israel, Judah, Jerusalem and Nineveh were not obeying God.
