Conclusion After reviewing the results from this experiment I can say that my hypothesis was supported. The car travelling the fastest was white car number 4 because it took 2.87 seconds to cover the 50 metres. Once we calculated the average speed of this car we found that it was 62.64km/h, which was above the speed limit in the area. Furthermore, the blue car finished the 50 metres in 4.12 seconds, making it the slowest car that we recorded data on. In summary, the average speed of white cars was

How to Make the Malahat Safer The debate about how to improve the treacherously narrow and winding Malahat Mountain Highway on South Vancouver Island has been an on-going issue since its conception back in 1861 when it was built as a cattle trail, then up-graded to wagon-road status in 1884 and eventually paved in 1911 (Commission). Currently vital safety upgrades are underway such as concrete barriers to divide the road lanes and stabilization solutions for falling debris. The presence of physical

Another good day gone bad I slowly pressed my foot down on the accelerator as I approached the passing lane. I was tired of following the old man in his beat up, red station wagon at 25 miles per hour. I needed to get to school! I was right behind him when I topped the little hill and entered the passing zone. Such a relief. That 's when I saw it... The warm September Monday morning was just what I needed to refresh my mind. I had been stressed about schoolwork and was trying to keep up with
