Hello, my Peers,
My name is Martika, and I'm a single mother to two amazing children: Arabella, who just
turned six back in April, and my son, who will turn five in August. My son has a rare genetic
disorder of a loss of one of his chromosomes, my child is unable to communicate verbally and
struggles with both his gross motor abilities and his cognitive thinking. As a result, he uses a
communication device. In addition to this, he was diagnosed with autism at the Level 2
spectrum, which indicates that he still needs guidance with his conduct. My daughter has an
exceptionally high IQ for her age, which is 130, and she is very skilled with numbers. But I've
lately seen that her social skills are still in the toddler stage, and she has difficulty concentrating
in class if she doesn't have something to do with her hands. Now that that's out of the way, let me
tell you about my present academic pursuits: I'm working on a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology at the university level, with a specialty in child and adolescent development. Since
my son has autism, I've always wanted to study to become a neuropsychologist so I could help
him and other kids whose healthy brains have been damaged. In addition, I have recently begun
working as a Medical Scribe with Scribe America; the work is demanding, but invaluable
preparation for my ultimate goal of entering the medical industry.
My Questions:
1.) Which part of the body ends at the thorax and is visible from the front and rear from
below the head to the shoulders?
2.) Which part of the body in a standard position holds the orbitals (eye sockets), lower
margins of the orbits, and the podia (ear canal upper margins) and all lie in the same horizontal
plane?
3.) Which part of the body is in anatomical position, the body is erect with the head?

Hello Kate,
It's great to finally meet you, and I sincerely hope you're enjoying much nicer weather than I am
here in northwest Florida. To me, responding to your queries is like going on a treasure hunt,
thus I like doing so.
1. What body part is medial to the ears? Since this is in the middle of the head,
between the ears, it must be the eyes or nose.
2. What organ is superior to the liver? This is probably the lungs, as these are the
organs that rank immediately above the liver on the hierarchy of body systems.
3. What body part is superior to the mouth? When comparing the nose to the mouth,
the nose is clearly superior.
