INSERT SHORT TITLE 2 Your Title Needs to Reflect the Case Study Experience and Content Discussed Following the title is the introduction (do not write “Introduction” as header), which is a presentation of the central idea of the paper and a reference to the literature base that the paper is part of. Tells the reader who this child/youth is, providing a pseudonym (if this is a real child/youth), and introducing the reader to this person you’ve observed and to the setting of the observation (e.g., virtual tutoring at Kids Count, in-person volunteering at the Y) go more in-depth in family background. Paint a picture of the child/youth and lay the foundation for the paper. Method Participant In this section, you will share information about this child/youth that you have been observing. E.g., cultural background if known, other descriptive characteristics and demographics you know that did not get mentioned in the intro--age, grade, height, weight, developmental characteristics, attachment style, temperament traits, (problematic and positive, e.g., ADHD, autism spectrum, typically developing, gifted?). Cover in 1 sentence each concept-- temperament (one of the four categories), attachment (Ainsworth), physical development, cognitive stage (Piaget), and social-emotional stage of development (Erikson). You may include any elements from any of the phases that you have written about this semester. You may choose to rearrange your paper to include some information here and other information (about your child/youth) in the Discussion section (see below).
