This research paper focuses on how members of Bethel Evangelical Baptist Church
5780 West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, Florida 33484
interacted and behavior toward
one another. Sunday, October 4th is when I conducted my observation at Bethel
Evangelical Baptist Church 5780 West Atlantic Ave,
Delray Beach, Florida 33484. When
I arrived my temperature was taken, a lady in the lobby checked to see if I reserved a
spot to come to the sanctuary that day and I was also given hand sanitizer before
getting access to enter the sanctuary. I stood six feet away from the lady in the lobby
and I observed as they did the exact same things to me to every single person that
came to the sanctuary that Sunday. For COVID-19 precautions they only had a limited
amount of people come each Sunday. She told me that Sunday as I stood a couple of
feet away from the lady, I counted 73 people that came to the Sunday service. After
stranding behind the lady for about 10 to 15 minutes, I moved on and went to find my
seat for the Sunday service. Still taking COVID-19 precautions, ushers greeted me at
the entrance and seated me and everyone else with at least 3 seats in between. As
members of the church's worship team came out to start the service, people seated in
the crowd stood up and started singing with them. They sang to start the service, then
they prayed, then they sang some more. After all of that, they prayed, collected
offerings. They collected offerings by putting two pedestals in the middle of the rows as
people got up from their seats, went up to the buckets and placed their offering in. All of
this was done of course for COVID-19 precautions. After all that was over people settled
back in their seat without making any type of physical contact with each other. Then
they gave the announcements for the church for the week, after the pastor said the
