I have learned how to become a better critical thinker during this class. That of course was the ending result of taking this class. Identifying the problem has always been the easiest part of the critical thinking process. The problem is the easiest thing to identify. Discovering the cause of the problem is a little more difficult than identifying the problem. Sometimes finding the cause hasn't always been so easy. For the most part though, the cause of the problem wasn't hard to find. During this class I have learned to identify the cause much easier than before. Creating options to solve the problem, the third step in the process, is the hardest of all the steps. During the class I have found it easier to come up with solutions in different ways. The more options you have to solve the problem will lead to better ending results. Evaluating the best option to solve the problem, the fourth step, is a crucial part of the process. I have learned to look at things more closely and that way I can choose the best solution. By presenting the hypothetical solutions with different ways to get the best result, is the best way to do this. Act, monitor and modify selected options if necessary is the last step in the five step process. It is important to look back on your procedure, and being able to choose the best option includes being able to see everything involved. After taking this class I have become a better critical thinker, and have learned to identify, analyze to come up with the best solution. This class has also made me think more in depth about things, and decide what things are most important. There may be several key factors, but choosing the most important one is imperative in order to become a good student and be successful in whatever you do.
