2 Touch Define and Describe In the Relationship Attachment Model (RAM), the "Touch" dimension represents the profound connection created through physical closeness and affection. This dimension delves into the significance of touch as a means of expressing love, comfort, and intimacy. Understanding the "Touch" dimension acknowledges that physical connection plays a pivotal role in fostering emotional closeness and building a deeper bond between partners (Van Epp, 2007). Gospel Gospel teachings provide valuable insights into the sacred nature of physical intimacy within the bounds of marriage. In 1 Corinthians 6:13-20, we read: "Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body... Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. ... Flee fornication. ... He that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. ... Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (King James Version)" This scripture underscores the sacredness of the body and the importance of using it following the Lord's purposes, emphasizing the divine connection between physical actions and spiritual well-being. In Jacob 2:27-28 we read a similar sentiment.

And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts." This scripture from the Book of Mormon reinforces the sacred nature of marital relationships and condemns any form of sexual immorality. It emphasizes the Lord's delight in the virtue of chastity and underscores the importance of maintaining the sanctity of physical intimacy within the bounds of marriage (Book of Mormon). He highlights the sanctity of the law of chastity, explaining that outside the bonds of marriage, any use of procreative power is considered a sinful degradation and perversion of this divine attribute. First and foremost, fostering open communication about physical boundaries and preferences with one’s partner establishes a foundation for a harmonious and consensual approach to physical touch.
