DISCUSSION: Ethics In Public Administration God has specifically given the ethics of science as part of a kingdom's administration for generations. What are ethics and how are ethics developed? According to an article by Dieumeme Noelliste of Jamaica, Ethics are principles, precepts, commands warnings, guidelines, and counsels intended to steer our lives toward right, good, and God-honoring. 1 One of these specifics can be found in Exodus 31:1-18, NLT as it records that the Lord said to Moses, look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah and have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. 2 Here we find that ethics are a learned behavior from God for His administration in men. We know this as the Bible records that Hur of the tribe of Judah trained his grandson Uri who passed this knowledge to his son Bezalel (Exodus 31-1-8). Today, Shafritz & Hyde (2017) support that the present moment called civil service, after its first purpose, expands into efforts to improve, not the personnel only, but also the organization and methods of our government. When Isaiah 9:6-7 mentions a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder. He identifies that reform comes through the continual passing of knowledge beginning from a child's transformation into a son and that 1 Dieumeme Noelliste, (N/A), Biblical Ethics: An Introduction . https://www.esv.org/resources/esv-global-study- bible/biblical-ethics-an-introduction/. 2 Exodus 31::1-18 NLT, Unless otherwise noted all scriptures are from the King James Version of the Bible.
son develops an ethical public administration that eventually builds a governing body of people. For any government to officiate the people divinely, it must be borne by and rest upon the foundation or shoulder of Christ, rather than the personalities of men. They also mention that the ethics of public administration needs continual reforming the fact today the eminently practical science of administration is finding its way into college courses in this country would prove that this country needs to know more about administration, where such proof of this fact required to make out a case. 3 I agree with Shafritz & Hyde as my interest in this course supports their theory. Not that they are looking for college programmers for proof of this fact. there should be that we should continue the study of administration because it is the 3 Shafritz, J. M., & Hyde, A. C.
