Scientist have discovered current information about The Great Oxidation Event from
studying apatite inclusions found in zircon crystals formed through old magma, this was done with using
a type of circular particle accelerator called synchrotron.
Briefly explain any prior knowledge and what you would like to know more about regarding your
selected news story.

The reason I chose this story is because it is of a topic, I have no prior knowledge of. I
have never heard most terms and scientific names mentioned in this article, and that excites me. In this
course I want an understanding of natural science from a perspective I did not have prior. Having a better
understanding of the world and what makes it up gives me the understanding of how to play my part in
preserving it.
