2 Islam Astrology: Exploring the Islamic Way of Life. Location Upon my beliefs and culture; if given the chance to travel back in time, I would travel to Mecca, Saudi Arabia during the development of the Islamic religion. I am a firm believer of the teachings and the practices and I incorporate this into my everyday living. “The strong believer is better and more beloved to God than the weak believer and in both there is goodness.” Islam meaning the submission to the will of God is derived from the Arabic word ‘Sal’m’ which also means peace. One Islamic belief is that God channeled his word through the prophet Muhammed Ibn Abdullah, several other prophets were also sent to serve as examples of ideal humane behavior and to spread God’s message on Earth. Mosques are known as the place of Worship where Muslims concentrate and recite the sentence “God listens to those who praise him, to God belongs all the praise.” Individual Once arrived at my desired location, the man whom I would seek to find is the prophet Muhammed Ibn Abdullah. Born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 570; Muhammed was a very spiritual person who spent majority of his time meditating. The Quran states that he was visited in the mountains by angel Jibreel in which he began to recite content he believed were words from God. Muhammed and Hijra were classified as important elements towards the foundation of Islam, Hijra notably marked the beginning of the Islamic era. Hijra allowed Muhammed and his followers to establish a community joining the people of Medina to overcome rivalries. He was known to be very honest, gentle and caring individual; characteristics that didn’t only allow him to be a good leader but also a humanitarian.
