The purpose of assessment for this unit is to gather evidence of the student’s competence against the elements, as well as skills and underpinning knowledge, required to Manage meetings.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to manage a range of meetings including overseeing the meeting preparation processes, chairing meetings, organising the minutes and reporting meeting outcomes.
It applies to individuals employed in a range of work environments who are required to organise and manage meetings within their workplace, including conducting or managing administrative tasks in providing agendas and meeting material. They may work as senior administrative staff or may be individuals with responsibility for conducting and chairing meetings in the workplace.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Overview of Assessments BSBADM502 Manage meetings
There are two (2) assessment tasks in this unit, and you must complete all assessments satisfactorily in order to be marked competent in this unit. The assessment for BSBADM502 consists of:
Assessment 1
– Short Answer questions to assess the Knowledge requirements
You are required to address all questions to achieve competence. Your trainer will provide you with instructions for time frames and dates to complete this assessment.
Once completed, carefully read the responses you have provided and check for completeness. Your trainer will provide you with feedback and the result you have achieved.
Assessment 2
– Project
This Assessment consists of 3 Parts:
Part A
requires you to prepare for a management meeting to discuss a number of issues as outlined on the next page.
Part B
requires you to conduct a meeting with 5 stakeholders, described in Part A, or as determined by your trainer. Part C
