Topic 4 Internship Reflection This week reflection allowed me to gain more valuable insights into the administrative aspects of school operations. Currently, my focus is on the upcoming homecoming event, which is just a week away. The planning process has been extensive, requiring careful coordination with the football game schedule and the announcements of the courts, king and queens that will be made during the game. Attending multiple games throughout the week has allowed me to observe firsthand the excitement and spirit that surrounds such events, and it has been a rewarding experience. In addition to homecoming planning, I have also been involved in budget discussions for the homecoming dance. This has involved analyzing the various expenses associated with the event and ensuring that we stay within the allocated budget. It has been a meticulous process, but one that has taught me the importance of financial management in organizing school events. Another crucial aspect of my role as an intern administrator is still student monitoring. Nimitz High School has been shorted handed by at least two administrators so they need all the help they can get. The role includes fulfilling hall duties to ensure a safe and orderly environment within the school premises. Monitoring for students who skip class, arrive late, or engage in conflicts has been a challenging but necessary responsibility. By addressing these
