I definitely agree, I do not believe IT governance would be considered effective if the same would be having different goals and objectives in relation with the corporate governance because it is a part of the corporate governance. While corporate governance, if it would have different goals and objectives, no synchronization can be done between it and the corporate governance and eventually lead to mismanagement. Therefore, it is very important for IT governance to have similar goals and objectives like in corporate governance.

I enjoyed your post! The only way I see corporate governance and IT governance being similar in goals and objectives is because they both share the fact IT governance is usually part of the corporate governance. Even though sometimes they can work well together they can also create a lot of problems. For example many organizations have to follow strict guidelines when building their business and IT needs. This can cause a major financial cost to an organization and it can slow operations down when going through many approved processes.

Statement 1: "Your firm has had problems with sales people telling lies to customer. You have hired a consultant named Phil to help assess the problem and give you advice. Phil did some research and found that your staff is nearly 4 times more likely to mislead customers than is normal in your industry. He recommends that you send employees an email appealing to your employee's common beliefs about the value of telling the truth and point out that at the moment this firm tells lies to the customers much more than other firms. He suggests you attach his research summary of his employee truth-telling research results. It is likely that Phil is using the "product of the environment" approach to solving business problems.
Statement 2: "Your firm has another problem: many employees are lazy and unproductive. You've hired a consultant named Anya to help assess the problem. Anya arranges for focus groups with different groups of workers and sends out surveys designed to discover employee…

Chapter 12 Discussion: Expanding Your Market
1111 unread replies.2222 replies.
The Situation:
This has to be one of the most depressing annual review meetings you’ve ever sat through. Sure, times have been tough before, but never like this. In the past year, your power-tools company has lost 37 percent market share. Sales have decreased by 64 percent. Profit is down almost 70 percent. You had to lay off one-third of your workforce. And worst of all, it doesn’t look to be getting better anytime soon. Housing sales and construction are at an all-time low, meaning your best customers, contractors, have little work to do and even less money to spend on new tools.
“We have to increase sales!” you tell the rest of your management staff. They stare back at you, of course, because everyone knows what needs to be done. They just don’t know how to do it. How do you sell a product when demand is so low?
As everyone in the room ponders over this, an intern sitting in the back corner…

Dear Mr. Rockfish,
Thank you for speaking with me regarding the importance of Knowledge Management (KM) at GDD. Zyngier (2001) explains that knowledge and information encompass different concepts. While knowledge refers to understanding, awareness, intelligence, comprehension, and wisdom, information refers to facts, news, and definitions. Unlike information, knowledge cannot always be fully conveyed in a codified form, but it can develop through sharing prior knowledge between individuals or groups. While IT can support KM through technology, it cannot replace effective KM for the company.
Technology can support KM by facilitating the storage and dissemination of explicit knowledge, or knowledge that can be easily expressed and codified. However, much of the critically important knowledge is tacit, which is challenging to articulate and codify. Tacit knowledge capture is problematic because it often relies on personal experience and expertise, which can be difficult…

"FCA proposes new rules to tackle greenwashing
Press Releases First published: 25/10/2022 <
In a bid to clamp down on greenwashing, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is proposing a package of new
