CYB/405-WK1-DISCUSSION-REPLIES REPLY-1 I definitely agree, I do not believe IT governance would be considered effective if the same would be having different goals and objectives in relation with the corporate governance because it is a part of the corporate governance. While corporate governance, if it would have different goals and objectives, no synchronization can be done between it and the corporate governance and eventually lead to mismanagement. Therefore, it is very important for IT governance to have similar goals and objectives like in corporate governance. REPLY-2 I enjoyed your post! The only way I see corporate governance and IT governance being similar in goals and objectives is because they both share the fact IT governance is usually part of the corporate governance. Even though sometimes they can work well together they can also create a lot of problems. For example many organizations have to follow strict guidelines when building their business and IT needs. This can cause a major financial cost to an organization and it can slow operations down when going through many approved processes.
