Every organization is taking risks when it comes to their operation. Risk is known as exposing something to danger, loss, or harm (Merriam-Webster, 2023). Therefore, it’s important to understand what is at stake by creating a risk assessment. According to Cohen and Kunreuther (2007), a risk assessment consists of evaluating the likelihood and consequences of frequent risk by using factual data. This risk assessment will be completed on TransGlobal. It will identify risk both strategic and operational; give an evaluation of each risk; and provide mitigations/recommendations on how to handle the risk. Identification: There are two different risks that were identified that could affect TransGlobal. The first risk includes the reservation and ticketing system and the second risk is the safety training (ratings). The reservation system lacks the upgrades that are needed to give customers a complete experience. They are not able to access reservations for lodging, ground transportation, and other attractions they wish to enjoy. The lack of enhanced technology is basically strategic and it addresses the customer category on the balanced scorecard. Another risk that is associated with the organization is safety. Safety is addressed when it comes to the training, following FAA’s regulations, and the 5 stars that we possess verse 7 stars. The organization is requiring that members complete a two-hour training. However, they lack accountability for how they will track and document training. Another issue with his is that with the regulations and the safety of all customers, the training needs to be more intense. This is an operational risk and would fall within the learning/training category. Evaluation: Mitigation:
