Persuasive speech Speech communication 1608 Persuasive speech: Stem cell research Goal statement: To persuade my audience the benefits of stem cell research for medical purposes. Thesis: It has been understood that stem cell research is looked down upon due to its unethical destruction of human embryos, yet the pros far outweigh the cons. In the next few minutes, I will discuss how stem cell research helps understand various diseases (1) and they can regenerate and repair damaged cells in people (2). Finally, I will discuss how stem cell research helps to test out new drugs for human safety and their effectiveness (3). I. I will discuss how stem cells help understand various disease. II.
