Hello. My name is Jessica Evans and this is my GoReact video reflection for Phase one of the CPE for class D031- Advancing Evidence-Based Innovation in Nursing Practice. During this phase I was instructed to use the WGU library to perform a search of sources describing a nurse innovators role. While researching the roles and responsibilities of a nurse innovator, I learned that any nurse could act as the nurse innovator or it can be a specific position. Nurse innovators
strive to improve patient care while also making their colleagues jobs easier. These nurses assist
with the planning and implementation of the newest and greatest technology. When implementing a new idea, these nurses come up with an idea, turn it into a strategy and then assist with implementation in their facility. Overall, I really liked this portion of the CPE. I liked the detailed instructions on how to use the WGU library to assist me with further research in the future and I liked learning about the role of the nurse innovator. That’s all I’ve got.
