A. Personal Values 1. Honesty- I always tell the truth even when it doesn’t benefit me, or it can cause me problems. I expect honesty from others as well. Nothing bugs me more than when people lie to me. 2. Creativity- Art, music, and film are my favorite things. I always like to do creative things, and I admire people who are very creative. I always try to do something that hasn’t been done before. I like uniqueness. 3. Open-mindedness- I’m always open to trying new activities, food, music, and ways of doing things. It always annoys me when people I’m with will turn something down that they’ve never tried before because they don’t think they will like it. 4. Dependability- People can always depend on me. I always show up when I say I am and always do what I say I’m going to do. At work, I know what must be done, and my boss always finds my tasks completed. I’m always disappointed with the undependable people in my life. They are never there for me when I most need them, or they cancel plans at the last minute having me scramble trying to recover the money I spent or find someone else to take their place. If I work with undependable people who call off a lot, I must do extra work. B. Compare Values 1. C1. Explanation of Improvements 1. Working with a more diverse group of stakeholders would lessen groupthink. Different cultures are going to think about things and do things differently. Groupthink stifles creativity, which prevents innovation. 2. They can also improve their CI by getting feedback on their products from a more diverse group of people and implementing changes to their products based on the feedback, improving their growth in the global market, making Alliah more successful. C2. Explanation of Potential Challenges 1. Different cultural norms could be a potential challenge that could arise. There could be misunderstandings between employees because of it. 2. Alliah could overcome the challenge by having its employees take an emotional intelligence course and learn about other cultures. C3. Hofstede and Communication 1. Collectivism vs Individualism is the aspect of Hofstedes’s six dimensions of culture that can help Alliah respectively communicate with Alliah’s diverse work culture.     2. Collectivism puts the group's needs over the needs of the individuals. Individualism is all about independence. In order to have a successful team, you need to have collectivism. With Alliah’s diverse employees, some are going to be more individualistic and will need to work on that to better suit the needs of the team and the company.
