Small Group Communication- Training Proposal Phideline Donat Concorde Career Institute-Miramar, FL COMM1310 Gail Laubsch 11/12/2023
Small Group Communication- Training Proposal 2 Training Proposal for group communication First I will start by a short definition of a small group which is a collection of individuals who are connected to one another by some common purpose, are interdependent, have some degree of organization among them, and see themselves as a group (DeVito, 2019) .To succeed at work we need to work as a team, the customers satisfaction depends on how we manage our team at work. We need to do this training proposal to remind our team members why it is important to maintain effective communication among us. Training audience and where the training will take place and how the training will be organized. The audience for this training will be the regional manager, the shift managers, the cashier, and the floor team members. The training will take place before we open the store because we need to make sure that all our team members are present. We will have two training sequences, one for the morning shift and one for the night shift. We will start the week of the 50 th anniversary of the company and this will be a reminder of what the company stands for. Specific elements I will propose. I will propose some tips of communicating in the workplace for example: Communicate the Right Way, Prioritize Two-Way Communication and Embrace the uniqueness of each employee (2023) .With these tips they will learn to ask questions openly, wait for their turn to speak and understand that each person will have they own opinion. We will propose a plan to update the system to clock in and clock out of work because the old system is not working properly sometimes. Some new policies will be implemented, and the employees will have to agree with them, for example no gossiping sometimes gossip is used to unfairly hurt another person for example, spreading gossip about an office romance (DeVito, 2019) .. We will explain the six steps
