Part One: Working Style
1. In my SimpLi5 report, I am a high-energy person who focuses my energy on getting results while I am comfortable with this style of learning. I am always looking for new ways to adapt in a specific situation. I do have a difficult time sitting still as I am thinking about the next big thing to do on my agenda, or you’ll catch me talking to my colleagues about what I am doing
and how I can be of assistance. I’m not a “idea” type of person but if the ideas can help me get my assignments completed efficiently and or are tactical which would let others help me get the task done. Then I drive to be a realist that is result-driven accomplishing my goals at the highest level possible. I don’t settle for nothing less than being a top echelon and people see me as a “winner.” I don’t explore with an idea or concept, I am more excited by the idea or awareness when
energized, radiated and championed to advance toward planning the next step. The optimum way
for me to understand and achieve is to engage in experiential learning through a multisensory means or hands on. I examine the idea and ask myself two questions “what are the objectives or the goals?” and “what competent people can I get to do this for me or with me?” I always think through a means of many interactive approaches because the more learning I have the easier it is to build associations into a comprehensive whole. In a well formal, structed way of learning, I engage and build rationally and intuitively from one fact or theory to another. Thus, I want brief and to the point outlines or bullets for notes without having unnecessary details that will confuse me from learning. Reinforcing repetition and efficiency in my memory helps me categorize everything in order to recall it when needed. As I strive to execute my goals, I surround myself around people that are determined as me, disciplined, smart, motivated and direct that thrive in a non-traditional setting or project
group. Rather than surrounding myself in an environment that my colleagues are talking too much or too little or aren’t prepared to take on the task hand. In the case that my colleagues aren’t at my level, I will shut everything and everyone who can’t assist me accomplishing my goals and lead the group in a very direct manner. If I know that the group continues to waste my time, then I will immediately find other way to reach my goals with a different group or person. When I have accomplished my objective, I enjoy celebrating this victory with others. It’s all about working hard and playing hard after. 2. Looking at my Simpli5 report and the working style self-assessment, I often think about the two strengths that I have. The first one being a dreamer. I have visions that are constantly floating in my mind whether it’s starting things like generating ideas, having questions or both inspiring others. I just love discovering new solutions that will get me what I want. The second one would be intuitive. I feel that I have this strength to help me attain a direct knowledge whether I am observing or notice small things. I can easily access information in a hyper sense that I’m a highly intuitive empath which makes me easily read a room. As a result, with those strengths comes great challenges such as people pleasing and having too many things to do at one time. Being a dreamer, I quite often find myself stuck with many ideas that I like to take on the many projects at once and that overwhelms my mind a lot that I find myself at a roadblock. I always try to live moment to moment and like creating good times with laughter to relieve some stress. Although I believe I can do anything, I often put people’s needs before mine because I like to work in establishing harmony and balance that would avoid conflict if possible and not having to feel like I couldn’t accomplish my goals by helping those around me. So, I learn best by having a balance in everything I do when I’m at work or home and by being direct when I am working on a task.
