Most others worked in healthcare facilities, such as hospitals. 11. What is an Audiologist? What exactly do they do? o Audiologists are health care professionals who identify, assess and manage disorders of hearing, balance and other neural systems. 12. What’s the difference between interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional practice (IPP)? o Interprofessional Education (IPE) occurs when two or more professions learn about, from and with each other to enable effective collaboration and improve health outcomes. o Interprofessional Practice occurs when multiple health workers from different professional backgrounds work together with patients, families, carers and communities to deliver the highest quality of care. 13. What does licensure mean? o Licensure is provided by a governmental authority and typically includes some kind of academic element (either through a degree or by passing an examination) 14.
