1. Indicate type of policy and to whom it pertains: - If addressing a law, provide number/ title, when enacted, month/year it took effect. - If addressing a bill, indicate its current status. For a State
bill, note whether State Representative or State Senator representing your home area in your state legislature is a sponsor of the bill. For a Federal
bill, note the sponsor and the number of co-sponsors. If the bill is in the US Senate, note if one or both of the US Senators from Michigan is a sponsor or co-sponsor. If the bill is in the US House of Representatives, note if any of the US Representatives from Michigan is a sponsor or cosponsor the bill. Note the Committee(s) the bill was sent to and if it passed out of the Committee(s).
