Case Study Notes for Clarification  Come up with a case study/story/situation/intervention make this up it is subjective to whatever you want may be helpful to also examine a social issue you are interested in to get you started- review case studies in book for ideas  Ch. 2 is where you need to be to get the bulk of definitions but of course theories/perspectives/concepts can be found within the various chapters  Your social unit is your individual client, family, group, small organization, or community. The Social system can relate to the social issue/problem or dimensions of a person (biological person, spiritual person, cultures families etc) depending on how you write your paper.  You are the Social Worker write as though you are-put in the introduction  Ex. For individual client- My name is Stephanie Bonilla I am a Master Level Social Worker working at Marin County Hospital my role is a Medical Social Worker I am working with Johnny a 43-year-old male who is seeking assistance for recent substance abuse issues. Also explain why you are working with your social system what prompted the working relationship  Use minimum three perspectives OR theories and 5 concepts as they apply to your social system/unit can be based on the particular intervention/situation/outcome you write  Must define and discuss with proper in text citations and in References  Headers- Introduction, Three theories or perspectives (whichever you choose or can be a combination of both), 5 concepts, Diversity Considerations (under this header you will discuss at minimum two as relevant to your social system/unit), Health and Well-being of Social System and conclusion  Discuss in terms of social systems and how they promote (pros/helping) or block (cons/hindering) the achievement of health and well-being. For example- Substance abuse would be a block to health and well-being of my client OR an example if you were writing about a group of undocumented individuals is the lack of comprehensive immigration policies this is a block or negative as currently undocumented individuals do not have access to healthcare. OR I can say something like religion and spirituality aspects can be seen as a positive promotion of health and well-being to my client to assist with his substance abuse issues.
