The television ad aims to portray a nostalgic and family friendly atmosphere but falls into common and problematic tropes. It depicts mostly white families engaging with historically significant indigenous sites and perpetuates casual appropriation and cultural ignorance. It lacks inclusivity, diversity, and sensitivity towards indigenous communities and their cultural beliefs. recommendation for improving representation is for the television ad: reshoot the commercial to feature diverse families, including those from indigenous or otherwise diverse cultural backgrounds, actively engaging with historical sites. Involve diverse perspectives and representation in the commercial to demonstrate inclusivity and respect for different cultures. This would more closely align with the company's goal of balancing modernization and inclusivity.
