For the magazine and web banner I want to make the design cohesive and have elements of each other throughout the project. I believe that the color scheme can be seen throughout the project in multiple elements. I also wanted to select an image that would be usable amongst mul-
tiple projects. I wanted an image that showed the beach and a place of relaxation I believe that I was very successful when selecting the image because I was able to use the one image across both tasks. I knew with the colors presented for us to use that there was a possibility to use them all together and I tried to find ways to break up the design with the colors. My photos and colors I believe were arranged to grab the viewers attention I begin to generate questions in their head about how to make a vacation to the resort possible. I really wanted to get a good animation down in photoshop and using the timeline it was easy to create a blinking link to the website of the resort. I also used elements like contours, bevels and emboss, adjusting the highlights, creat-
ing working paths and applying a brush stroke allowed me to get a written in the sand look. When adapting the magazine to the web banner I needed to slim down the image and bring the logo over and then create a nice break in between the image and the large message on the ad. When going from a print to a web I wanted to make sure that everything was large enough to grab the attention of the viewer. I feel like those changes were necessary to draw viewers in to the ad. I also wanted to make sure that the web banner was done in pixels per inch and not dots per inch so it would be better formatted for the web. A critique that helped me achieve a great final look was to rearrange the elements of my magazine ad. I had all of the right elements I just needed to set them in a different manner to be more visually appealing. I believe
