There’s information such as the hardware version, software version, as well as plenty of info related to how the device is operating, efficiently or inefficiently. How many total Cisco-System OIDs are there? There are 42 OIDs in total for Cisco. How does this compare to the Linksys MIB? There are 63 OIDs in total for Linksys, so a difference of 21. What is an SNMP trap? An SNMP trap is an alert message, and a type of SNMP protocol data unit (PDU). When might you use one? SNMP traps are typically used to notify a manager about an important event that needs immediate attention.
