1 Task 2 Taylor Cook Western Governor’s University D096- Fundamentals of Diverse Learners Ellie Ospina February 13, 2024
2 Task 2 A1. In this lesson I used shape cutouts of regular shapes as well as everyday objects such as stop signs, kites, and diamonds. This helped the children see that everyday items have angles. The visual support accommodation helped the student with an exceptionality by allowing her to see how the mathematical terms applied to everyday life. She was able to see that everyday items have angles. She was also able to relate certain angles with certain shapes once I showed her the shape cutouts. A2. One thing that happened in the lesson was a child asking a question about the lesson in the beginning. I did not explain well enough what we were going to be learning about and that’s why this question was asked. In the future I will make sure to spend ample time introducing and discussing the lesson and asking if there are any questions. I will move on into the lesson once I am sure all the children have a good understanding of what the lesson will be covering.
