For this project I am going to choose Climate change. The
climate changing is due to human beings and their behaviors.
Basically, climate change is happening because there is an
increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. The CO2 creates a type of
blanket that keeps the heat from escaping our atmosphere
and forces the heat to increase all around the earth thus
changing the climates around the world. As the world grows
hotter the Ice shelves melt, the sea level increases, coral reefs
are dying, hurricanes are growing more violent, wildfires are
spreading and becoming more frequent, more rain is falling
causing rapid floods, and there are so many other effects. This
is fixable if humans change what they do, and how they do it.
This issue is significant because if we don’t stop climate
change where it is, it could kill the entire earth, thus wiping
out the human population. We need to raise awareness to the
serious issue of climate change to hopefully save the world
and our species along with many other. Politics have been
unsuccessful thus far in forming a widespread realization
because they have not focused on social scientists to help see
further into climate change to the root of the issue, human
behaviors that are behind it. By studying the way humans
react to certain situations social sciences can help determine
how to better spread the plea to help change the climate for
the better. Recently the ICPP has brought in more social
scientists to try to help push the issues and find fixes by
studying human behaviors and the human drive force behind
it.
The principles that apply to my social science issue are social
institutions, social roles, and social norms.
Social institutions apply to climate change by the way of
education and government. We need more education about
climate change and how to stop it in order to be more
effective in saving the world. We also need the help of the
governments around the world to get behind educating people
and putting in place prevention measures.
Social roles apply to climate change because we essentially
need to change the social norms of society. Over the last few
hundred years taking care of the earth is something that
comes last on most of everyone’s mind, if at all. In order to
make it a habit we need to change the social norms around
the world.
Social roles apply to climate change because we need to make
roles common in preventing climate change for people to
follow. By incorporating social roles into society that pertain
specifically to climate change prevention I feel like it would
become a wider spread habit among everyone. By doing this it
would help kick start incorporating climate change routines
into being part of a social norm.
A few questions that social scientists would be interested in
researching further would be:
what are the consumption patterns that drive climate change?
What are the biggest contributing factors of the human
behavior that effects climate change?
how does the economy growth effect climate change?

A tech company has made a new app to help improve sleep hygiene. Sleep hygiene is the extent to which you have a good, healthy sleep routine--the goal of the app is to optimize the user's sleep schedule and set them up for sleep success by encouraging them to remove distracting things in their environment, minimizing light exposure prior to sleep, and helping them find their own personal best sleep routine. The tech company gives the app to a select group of college students living in the dorms on campus, and compares their sleep quality to their roommate's sleep quality, who did not get the app. Is this a directional or non-directional hypothesis?

DIRECTION: The aim of this activity is for you to design an innovative
timepiece for your own use. This could be in the form of a
wristwatch, a mantelpiece clock, an electronic clock, or any
other kind of clock you like. Your goal is to be inventive and
exploratory.
Nowadays, timepieces (such as clocks, wristwatches etc.) have a variety of
functions. They not only tell the time and date but they can speak to you,
remind you when it's time to do something, and provide a light in the dark,
among other things. Mostly, the interface for these devices, however, shows
the time in one of two basic ways: as a digital number such as 23:40 or
through an analog display with two or three hands-one to represent the hour,
one for the minutes, and one for the seconds.
Task No. 1:
(a) Think about the interactive product you are designing: what do you
want it to do it for you? Find 1-3 potential users and ask them what they
would want. Write a list of requirements for the clock, together with
some…

This project will use an ultrasonic sensor to detect motion and light different leds and sound a buzzer depending on the distance of an object from the sensor:
We will use Green, Yellow, Red leds and buzzer to signal distance of object as follows:
Light the GREEN LED if the object is greater than 100cm away from sensor
Light the YELLOW LED if the object is between 70cm and 100cm away from sensor
Light the RED LED if the object is less than 70cm away from the sensor and sound the buzzer

Designers are expected to be efficient and productive, which means finding faster and better ways to save time. Learning keyboard shortcuts is one of the most important steps you can take towards improving productivity.
Read the scenario.
Ray is using Adobe InDesign to build a layout. He must open a text file, create the new InDesign file, select and copy text, import images, save the file, print the layout, and close the file. He has written the first two steps using the keyboard shortcuts. Using key board shortcuts, what are the next 5 steps Ray should take?
Example of Ray’s steps.
Step 1: Open the text file by double-clicking on it to launch a text editor like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc.
Step 2: Create a new document in Adobe InDesign by using Control/Alt N.
Your turn … keep going!
The pros of using keyboard shortcuts have been illustrated, so what might some cons be? What steps might be better done without a keyboard shortcut?

O You do not need to know who your audience is when preparing and giving a

O Small fonts are ok in in presentations. They allow you to fit a lot of information
on one slide.
O You should rehearse your presentation and be clear on who is speaking to
each slide.
O Oral presentations differ from written reports in timing (e.g., they have a
specific time, start and ending, to which they must adhere.
O A presentation has three main parts: Introduction, Body of Presentation, and
the Conclusion.

Please I need graphic images in the solution required for drawing
products and reach a wider range of customers by using the software product line
(SPL) technology as described next
All products in this SPL must be capable of providing a basic vacuum cleaning as follows:
The user presses the power button located on top of the vacuum cleaner.
The system starts vacuuming by activating the two spinning brush motors.
The system starts moving the vacuum using a simple, random walk algorithm as follows. The system signals the wheel motors to move forward so that the vacuum moves forward. When the system detects an obstacle, the system rotates the wheels in a randomly selected degree and then moves signals the wheel motors to move forward.
The system updates the battery level indicator every 1 minute (when the battery level reaches 15% or lower)
The user presses the power button again.
The system stops vacuuming by deactivating the brush and wheel motors.
It should be noted that if the…

Yellow Dots of Mystery: Is Your
Printer Spying on You?
"Imagine that every time you print a document,
it automatically includes a secret code that
could be used to identify the printer -- and,
potentially, the person who used it. Sounds like
something from a spy movie, right?
Unfortunately, the scenario isn't fictional. Most
color laser printers and color copiers are
designed to print invisible tracking codes across
every single printed page of their output. These
codes reveal which machine produced a
document and, in some cases, when the
document was printed or copied. "
