4-2 Activity: Critical Analysis
Addressing the limitations of the printing press involves considering its historical
constraints and envisioning potential improvements. Developers might have explored material
advancements for printing plates and typesetting to enhance durability and printing precision
during its initial creation. Today, ink formulation improvements could address fading and
readability issues over time. Collaborative efforts with artisans and engineers could seek
innovations in the mechanical components of the press, improving its speed and efficiency.
Implementing regular maintenance practices and establishing standardized printing protocols
could mitigate common issues. Furthermore, educational initiatives to train operators on optimal
usage and troubleshooting could contribute to addressing the limitations effectively.
Several factors influence how individuals understand the role of the printing press in
historical events. Biases from socio-economic backgrounds may have shaped perceptions, with
those benefiting from increased access to information likely viewing the technology more
positively (Forgeard, 2023). Beliefs and values related to education and intellectual freedom may
have influenced whether individuals saw the printing press as a tool for empowerment or a
disruptor of established power structures. Assumptions about the accessibility of information and
the role of media in society could also have impacted interpretations. Recognizing and
addressing these biases and beliefs are crucial for a nuanced understanding of the printing press's
role in shaping cultural and social landscapes.
Critically analyzing technology in society yields numerous benefits, including informed
decision-making, technological literacy, and identifying ethical considerations (Loubier, 2021).
By considering the societal impact of technology, individuals can contribute to responsible
innovation and shape policies that align with societal needs. However, challenges include

Your topic selection is completely of your choosing, though the report must clearly demonstrate how the subject is relevant to the overall topic of Biofuels. This course presents introductory discussions through module content and our weekly lectures, to enhance this learning it is up to the student to further explore and independently research topics of interest. The goal of this research report is to explore what interests you, and get on paper your ideas about this area of renewables technology.
The marking scheme rewards originality and uniqueness of topic selection. Students with same/similar topics will loose significant marks. Plagiarism will result in a 0 mark, and will be dealt with according to Conestoga Academic Integrity policies.

Paint Brush Party Bus provides mobile art classes to children of all ages. Patty Brown owned an art studio for over 10 years where she taught students – both children and adults – how to paint. Eventually, though, she decided to change her business to a mobile art studio focused on teaching children ages 4-17. She purchased a few old school buses which she gutted and outfitted with easels, benches, and art supplies for students to use when taking PBPB’s classes. She also hired a few more art teachers to help her teach her classes. This case describes the art class jobs (sales) and art supplies purchasing (purchase) processes for Paint Brush Party Bus (PBPB).

Question#2) Case Study:
JazzN!ghts is a famous Jazz festival, held in Zurich every year. Since its first edition in 1986, it has gone
through several major changes regarding its structure, length and location, but the tickets have always
been sold in a traditional way: through two events agencies. The organizers decided to completely
modernize the tickets selling system and created the following concept. From this year on, the tickets will
be sold in three distinct ways: traditionally, i.e. by the two events agencies, in electronic format directly
on the festival website, and through SBB. All parties will have access to the same unique tickets database
of the new system, to avoid double selling. A partnership with the SBB railway company needs to be set
up, such that SBB can sell combi-tickets including both the festival admission fee and the train ride to the
festival venue at reduced price, from anywhere in Switzerland. This way, more music fans would have
