Learning Profiles
The students were analyzed informally using Multiple Intelligence checklist to find out my two students learning profiles, since much of the items in the categories were
too high for a first grade student to understand. I filled this inventory out based on knowledge of my students and what I observe in both of them. I observed both K.D. (African American female) and I.L. (Hispanic male). According to the results using the checklist, both K.D. and I.L. had differences in their strongest intelligence category, with K.D. scoring highest in Interpersonal Intelligence and I.L. scoring highest in Intrapersonal Intelligence. K.D. is more of an outgoing talkative student that enjoys interacting/socializing with the other students and being a leader in the classroom. I.L. is quieter and prefers to work alone rather than with a partner or group. These results from the checklist show that these two students think and learn very differently from each other. One student is more in tune with others (K.D.) and the other student is more in tune
with himself (I.L). K.D. and I.L.’s next highest intelligence was Linguistic Intelligence, both students
scored the same score and had the same items checked off. This was not done on purpose because I scored both students on their own individual checklist. This made the results for the second highest intelligence very interesting because both students have a rather high intelligence compared to the other 18 students in my classroom. They both have excellent memory, enjoy word games, enjoy reading books, enjoy listening to stories, communicate to others in a highly verbal way and use higher vocabulary. Both of these students are actually get pulled for Scholastic Academy daily to work on enrichment type
of activities and learning because of their high intelligence. Therefore, I am not as surprised that they both scored second highest in Linguistic Intelligence. The third highest intelligence they also scored the same, and I believe this one also has to do with the characteristics they have for being gifted, which is Logical-
Mathematical Intelligence. Both students are curious about how or why something is the way it is, both enjoy math class and computing numbers quickly, both enjoy playing math
computer games and working on puzzles and brainteasers, and both think on a different abstract/conceptual level as compared to their peers. Many of these contribute to entry into the Scholastic Academy, which leads to being tested for gifted. These are just 2 of the 3 students that participate in the Scholastic Academy from out of my whole class of 20 students. It really makes me wonder how I am accommodating these accelerated students according to their intelligences as compared to my remaining 17 students that are not in the program and are each on different levels of readiness in all content areas.

Please discuss your feelings about data transformation. Was this the first time that you had heard of it? What do you think? Does this affect your feeling about the statistics that you hear every day? One thing that I'm hoping to read from you is if you are now seeing statistics in a different light. These last couple of chapters bring it all together. You've learned so much these past 13 weeks---now it's time to be able to talk about it.

Draw the ER/EER model for the given scenario.
Manufacturer have unique name, an address, and a phone number.
Products have a product_id, a name and price.
Products may be classified into electronics and grocery.
Electronic products have description, type attributes.
Groceries have fssai_number, date_of manufacture, date_of_expiry.
Each product is made by one manufacturer, and different manufacturers may produce
different products..
Customers are identified by their unique social security number. They have email
addresses, and physical addresses. Several customers may live at the same (physical)
address, but we assume that no two customers have the same email address.
An order has a unique order number, and a date. An order is placed by one customer. For
each order, there are one or more products ordered, and there is a quantity for each

QUESTION 3
Which of the following items were described as problems with the EJI (Racial Terror Lynching) visualizatio
n? (Select all that apply)
The visualization doesn't provide accurate information about the number of lynchings in the deep south.
It suggests that racist violence was a problem restricted to the deep south.
The EJI dataset was very small.
The use of aggregated death counts dehumanizes the data.
The visualization is intended to be persuasive.
O The data was not collected using principled techniques.

The authors of a paper on perceptions of video games carried out an experiment to determine if restrictive labels on video
games actually increased the attractiveness of the game for young game players. Participants read a description of a new
video game and were asked how much they wanted to play the game. The description also included an age rating. Some
participants read the description with an age-restrictive label of 7+, indicating that the game was not appropriate for
children under the age of 7. Others read the same description, but with an age-restrictive label of 12+, 16+, or 18+. The
following data for 12- to 13-year-old boys are consistent with summary statistics given in the paper. (The sample sizes in
the actual experiment were larger.) For purposes of this exercise, you can assume that the boys were assigned at random
to one of the four age label treatments (7+, 12+, 16+, and 18+). Data shown are the boys' ratings of how much they
wanted to play the game on a scale of 1…

A derived attribute can be stored in a table or calculated on each occasion that it is required. An example of a derived attribute is your Grade Point Average which is calculated by adding together a score for each unit (e.g., HD=4, D=3, C=2, P=1, N=0) and dividing that by the number of units you have completed. Explain how the decision as to whether the Grade Point Average would be stored in a table or calculated would be made.
You are administering a database in a large retail company that records sales at each of the company’s stores. Tuning the database to improve performance by adding indexes and optimising query execution is an important ongoing aspect of the physical database design.
Which attributes in a database such as this (apart from the primary key) are likely to BENEFIT from being indexed?
Which attributes would you generally avoid indexing, and why?

. Consider the following scenario and answer the questions given atthe end The study involved 55 students (23 male, 32 female) and used a mixed methods approach, involving a questionnaire with open ended questions, Likert scale questionnaire and interviewsthat aimed to determine students' perceptions of their performance. Five main areas wereinvestigated with the open-ended questions: defining clinical reasoning; advantages anddisadvantages of clinical case studies; the effectiveness of clinical case studies in comparisonto real patients; and whether clinical case studies helped students working in a sports injuryclinic. Students completed a 5-point Likert scale that asked three statements regarding theclinical environment. Following the questionnaire, a sample of 15 students were randomlyselected for individual interviews. The results suggested that the students' responses weregenerally in favour of the use of clinical case studies to aid the development of confidence, communication and…

Draw an ER diagram for the following scenario:
A designer has a store of designer dresses both for male and female.
People can buy as well as take dresses on rent from the store.
Each dress in the designer's store, is identified by unique ID.
A dress in the store can be categorized into various categories Western, Indian, Indo-westem, etc.
The designer maintains the name, phone number of people who have taken dresses on rent.
The designer also maintains the name, phone number, and address of people who have bought dresses from the store.
The designer also collects feedback from the people who have bought or taken dresses on rent from the store.
Design the ER diagram by mentioning all the structural constraints. You may also include additional information in addition to the requirements listed.

The mayor of a city is interested in learning what goals are most important for residents of the city. Members of her staff
visit one of the many neighborhoods in the city and ask 20 residents to fill out a survey. The mayor is concerned that the
survey may be biased and not accurately reflect the overall interests in her town. Which of the following strategies is MOST
likely to address concerns about the data being biased or inaccurate.
A Finding the same people surveyed previously to ask more detailed questions.
B) Visiting the same neighborhood to collect more survey responses
Visiting multiple new neighborhoods to collect more survey responses
D Having her staff collect the data using an app rather than paper surveys
