DIABETICS BEVERAGE MARKET Introduction Once upon a time once an individual was told by their health care provider that they are diabetic automatically especially for patients in third world countries believe this would have been the end of their lives or they will start losing their body parts or become blind. Over the last decade there have been several research and developments by scientist within the health care industry that have been constantly researching, educating, and creating products for people diagnosed with diabetes. The commodity that the researcher will be examining are the diabetic food market. Diabetic Food Market includes Confectionery, Ice Creams and Jellies, Dietary Beverages, Baked Products, Dairy Products and Others (including snacks). Dietary beverage is emerging as the leading application, owing to the high demand for sugar-free and low-calorie beverages. A Dietary Beverages is simply a varied diet that people with type 2 diabetes or even above blood pressure should use to control better symptoms and potentially dangerous complications of high blood glucose. Throughout the 20 th century there has been an of young and older people diagnosed with diabetes as a result people have become more health conscious. Due to the rapid increase manufacturing companies has started to conduct more research and produce beverages that will not contribute to the spike in the diabetic patients diabetes. As people become more educated and health conscious about diabetes it is the more there is an increase for the diabetic drinks.
DIABETICS BEVERAGE MARKET During the covid-19 pandemic there have been a massive demand for materials to produce end items which is the final product. Well diabetics beverages were no exception. There was a huge demand for the raw materials, transporting products to the retailer so as a result the supply was limited. With the high demand for the products and limited supplies manufacturer have increase the prices for the products they distribute to the retailer which is then passed down to the consumer. The graph above shows what the supply and demand of diabetic’s beverages prior to the Covid- 19 pandemic. During this time raw materials was readily available, all employees were able to go to work as usual, there was no issues with the logistics of the products getting to the retailer
