How does your ingredient get from its origin to where you acquire it? What sort of environmental impacts may be associated with the ingredient? What might be the impact on the planet and population if every human used the ingredient frequently? Good morning, Class, and Prof. Teague, My favorite Dish must be Pizza there is just something about it I cannot resist Growing up in an Italian family this was staple dish served quite a bit. My family heritage being from Sicily acquired certain ingredients used in producing a true pizza. Fresh vegetables, tomatoes for sauce, fresh meat, cheese form dairy, durum wheat used in crust, and olive oil. All of the ingredients are available multitudes of ways either through grocery shopping or raising the ingredients yourself through farming. As we know most people op to by the stuff at the store since it is quite readily available. The transportation industry is used to move product from point A to point B this is done through a combination or singular depending on where the product is coming from. The trucking industry and the railroad are the two largest transports of goods in the United States. In some cases, both transports need to be used together to get to its destination. Environmentally CO2 emissions is the biggest pollutant caused form these industries of transport. The ingredients used in production of pizza can be used in other recipes of food as well and produced differently. Demand of food has shown to impact the economy in methods through inflation which has an impact on food cost based on supply and demand. The more we have the costs drops. The less of the food we have raises the prices. Have a greet week Tom
