1.
I am pursuing licensure in EC-12 Special Education. My lesson plan will focus on 5
th
Grade Language Arts and Social Studies. 2.
The two texts I chose were Studies Weekly “ Looking to the West” and Clestial Railroad, a story about Chinese Railroad workers. I chose these two texts because students are currently learning about the westward expansion in America, and this story gives an inside look into the people, Chinese Immigrants, who contributed to that expansion. Reading this story will allow students to connect what they’ve learned about the Westward Expansion to this story. https://murtaugh.weebly.com/uploads/1/7/9/2/17923605/
