Evaluation of online tools for effective writing Academic writing is more effective for graduate studies especially when you need to submit a paper Students are supposed to follow all the guidelines that the instructor gives. For effective writing, there are many online tools like Grammarly, Readable, Hemingway App, Pro Writing Aid, and Analyze my writing these are a few tools available for students to make their papers more quality with sentences, grammar mistakes, punctuations, plagiarism check, etc. GRAMMARLY Among these online tools, I use Grammarly to write my paper more effectively because it helps me to reduce grammar mistakes and correct my punctuation and spelling mistakes, clarify sentence phrasing, definition, and synonyms, and there is free plagiarism checker tool used for plagiarism. These are a few tools that I required to wring my paper or assignments more efficiently and effectively. Grammarly helps the students to save their time by giving enough corrections for their papers or assignments. I strongly believe that every student should be able to use these online tools to make their paper more quality and effective without any errors. Some of the pattern errors that I face in my writing are Grammar mistakes, spelling mistakes, sentence phrasing errors, punctuations, etc. Grammarly gives some feedback to improve my writing assignments, it helped me to increase my confidence level in my writing skills by giving feedback on confidence alerts that can help me to hedge language and make strong statements, and giving feedback on my spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Correctness alert in Grammarly helps me to learn more from mistakes. Also, it has a weekly status report for our writings in that, Grammarly sends our writing report through emails only if you are a registered member and shows our progress in writing; this is one of the good ways that we can analyze that 2

are we able to have any improvement in our writing skills through weekly status reports. Grammarly helped me to choose synonyms more accurately synonyms in sentence phrasing improved me to choose the right synonyms in the sentences. The feedback that I received from Grammarly helped me to improve my writing skills. Pros and cons of Grammarly Pros  Improved my writing skills and helped me to learn from mistakes that I make in my papers.  Grammarly helped me to save my time on editing, revising, and polishing written words.  Feedback on writing helped me to improve my writing by receiving a weekly status report in an email that shows my progress in writing and gives me a good insight into my improvements as a registered user.  Increase the quality and effectiveness of writing by pointing out each mistake that I make especially grammar, spelling mistakes, synonyms, and clarity in sentences.  It has a free plagiarism checker. Cons  The advanced version of Grammarly is the premium one so you need to pay monthly payments for the advanced level. The monthly subscription is 29$ and quarterly subscription is 19$ and the annual subscription is 144$. It is quite expensive it makes me confused about doing payments or using lope writing from GCU.  Grammarly works only in English. It does not work in any other language 3
