Journal Entry 5
Now that we are at the end of the course, I can continue to utilize all the resources that I have learned and apply it in my future, to improve my writing skills. Due to this, the parts of the writing strategies from the course that I find will be the most helpful for completing future writing assignments are utilizing the TAAPO and GO organizer chart, as well as the TAAPO and IDEA T chart. While utilizing these specific organization strategies, I can identify each important
part of a good writing piece, while obtaining all the resources that I need to organize and write a paper. In addition, while utilizing these strategies, I can get a clear understanding of my sources used, as well as creating a better writing flow for my paper. However, upon looking back on the class, one thing that I could have done differently in relation to the strategies used for academic success is to learn how to identify supporting details, to back up any author’s position, including myself. Therefore, I would approach the supporting details part of my writing for academic success differently, so that I would obtain stronger supporting details to support my position, as the writer. Overall, while utilizing these strategies I can achieve many writing goals set for myself.
