Summary Response: Willie Bentley saw snowflakes as wonders while growing up in
Vermont. When Willie Bentley was young, snowflakes used to make him very happy. He
would examine the ice crystals that developed on the snowflake under a microscope. Willie
hoped he would be able to photograph the snowflakes at some point. He would sketch his
discoveries about snowflakes. Additionally, Willie noticed that the snowflakes he was finding
were different. Bentley was a beacon of hope for those who loved the outdoors and being
outdoorsy. He was persistent and patient in his desire to take photos.
Personal Response: As funny as it may sound, I relate to this book. It helped me define my
objectives as an adult that I want to achieve. Willie Bentley, the tiny boy, made me feel a lot
like myself. I am halfway towards my lifelong dream of becoming a teacher. I will keep going
until I accomplish that aim. For younger children, this needs a more distinct topic. Willie
Bentley, the primary character, is a bright young child with aspirations similar to everyone
else's. The distinction I perceive in this narrative is that most children do not aspire to emulate
Willie Bentley.
Pedagogical Response: Any child could benefit from reading this book. Because it offers
readers a tangible experience, this book does have appeal. Willie Bentley demonstrated
tenacity of character in catching something that is practically uncatchable. They'll probably
recognize Willie Bentley as the figure. The primary character is him. The pupils won't require
comprehension. The children will be able to understand every component of language,
structure, and style in this story. The kids will experience a sense of resolve. This book might
encourage readers to make and follow through on their goals.
