We use it to connect with friends, stay updated on current events, and even promote businesses. However, the impact of social media on mental health has become a growing concern. The constant exposure to curated images, the pressure to gain followers, and the fear of missing out (FOMO) have all been linked to negative effects on mental well-being. In this essay, we will explore the detrimental effects of social media on mental health and argue for the need to create a healthier online environment.
