As research shows in Mental Health Americas 2023 State of Mental Health in America Report “1 in 10 youth or young people in the U.S are currently experiencing depression that is severely Impairing their ability to function in school or work.” (1) Mental health is a serious on-going Crisis in the United States, a crisis that needs solutions before it gets any worse. In her book Nicole Peluse describes how stress can affect an individual’s life, as well has how to manage It and face it head on instead of “Running away from it, they should acknowledge it.” (2) Peluse offers a wide range of management techniques as well as many ways to avoid stress That is overcoming any individual’s life. Mental Health, an illness that affects over 50 million Americans, according to Mental Health America. (3) According to the National Institute of Mental Health, “Research shows that mental illnesses are common in the United States, Affecting tens of millions of people each year” (4) Mental Health should be a topic addressed Everywhere so a solution can be found, or America may well have a mental health crisis on Their hands. The author of the text, Nicole Peluse, identifies the topic of mental health in her text “Take A Break.” (5) She has the solution and idea on how individuals can cope with stress and not letting It gets you out of your character or everyday life.
