Tasks  Peer-assess Unit 2 Written Assignment  Read the Learning Guide and the Reading Assignment  Participate in the Discussion Assignment (post, comment, and rate in the Discussion Forum)  Make entries to the Learning Journal  Take the Self-Quiz  Take the Graded Quiz Introduction This unit will focus on parsing and the Horror genre. The notes on parsing involve use of the parsing technique to analyze written structures. This is not an easy task and ample time should be given to review the notes. We will then explore the social construction of Horror in our Discussion Forum and the Learning Journal will reflect upon why people find different things

frightening and what frightens you. This unit also features a Graded Quiz on the subjects from Units 1-3. It is strongly recommended that you take the Self-Quiz before attempting the Graded Quiz.
