interaction, and overall well-being, calling for a thorough assessment of the challenges and
opportunities that this generation faces in the digital age today.
1-3 annotated bibliographies:
Amrit Kumar Jha. (no date listed) “Generation Alpha Students: Connecting, Educating, and
Relating” Department of Research, Counseling, and Curriculum, Augusta University
https://www.azsca.org/resources/publications/Generation_Alpha_Students.pdf
This scholar journal dives deep into the educational and social aspects in generation alpha. It
helps give guidance to understand this new generation. Gen alpha is the second generation to
completely and totally submersed in technology, ai, and a hand held device that everyone
carries around. Although this vast world of how this generation will turn out there us also great
headway to be made in terms of education and learning because now we have more resources
more than ever and the grasp of our hands.
Lai, N., & Harrington, P. (October 15, 2019). "Screen Time: Know Your Child’s Limits." Children's
Hospital of Philadelphia. https://www.chop.edu/news/health-tip/screen-time-know-your-child-s-
limits
This article by Naline Lai and Pamela Harrington offers helpful advice on handling kids' screen
time. The authors re-definine appropriate limits for screen use at such a young and vulnerable
age. This article will be used as a starting point for my essay to show that even hospitals are
worried about the effects of led screen times for the safety of the child.
Muacevic, A., & Adler, J. R. (June 18, 2023). "Effects of Excessive Screen Time on Child
Development: An Updated Review and Strategies for Management." National Library of
Medicine. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10353947/
This website from National Library of Medicine shows the physical and mental effect on
children. Also shows how it effects childrens speech, thinking patterns, and reading abilities.
This website also contrasts and show the positive aspects of the use of screen time on young
kids. The article also provides updated insights and suggests strategies for the effective
management of screen time. I’ll be using this website to really show some of the positive ways
that screen time can be used for children.
