Hi Rory, Thank you for replying to my post and yes, I would absolutely agree that living close to the coast needs serious detail and planning. But beyond that, I feel that every part of the country has its fair share of disasters, both natural and accidental that require the proper planning for. Yes, on the east coast we tend to encounter a fair share of hurricanes, hence the name of our NHL hockey team. But we encounter and need to be prepared to encounter so much more. If I lived in the Midwest, I would need to be prepared for tornados and hail, if I lived in the southwest, I would need to prepare for extreme temperatures, sandstorms, and droughts. If I lived on the west coast, I would have to worry about wildfires and earthquakes and if I lived in the north, I would be planning for extreme freezes, ice storms and hail. Each region has their own natural disasters that plague them, and I think most places do a good job of preparing for them. It's the unplanned, uncommon disasters that truly leave the worst damage. Just for an example, if a 2- mile-long train carrying biohazards derails in a small town and takes out the entire town in its wake and the fallout is nearly 50 miles due to airborne toxins, who is prepared for that at a moment’s notice? Josh
