I know that this question requires an awareness of the groundwater lecture. And the interpretation is not easy, especially in a beginner course. However, an incorrect answer will never hurt your grade. So just relax, have fun, and interpret landscapes! Some geomorphologists and ecologists call this a dune slack (interdunal) wetland, where the interdune area is intersecting the top of the water table for part of most of the year, allowing for plant establishment and growth. The
proximity to the body of water in the background would suggest the water table is likely sustained pretty close to the surface here.
