Career Goal
: My career goal for the first year is to obtain my Medical Billing and Coding Certificate (specifically my health information coding certificate) this is only the first step in my career path. Course information of your education path
: My course will provide me with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to function as an entry level coding specialists sin the health information management field. I will need all information in this course to be able to be successful at my job to build onto my career choice as a medical billing and coding director. It will allow be to understand the inpatient and outpatient coding guideline, apply knowledge of health records and data content. Explain reimbursement processes and methodologies relate compliance topic to coding function and describe various information technologies used to perform coding functions. It will also allow me to recognize and be sensitive to issues of confidentiality and privacy. This course will allow me to stack my credits to obtain my associates, bachelors, then my masters. I will have to take thirty-one credit hours for completion. It is split up into four categories: Natural sciences, digital health care, medical coding, and personal and professional development. Ten classes total and I have two classes already credits.
How I will achieve this goal
: I tend to take 2 or 3 classes per semester if able. I schedule my entire life out so scheduling time to study/read assignments and chapters is the most time then I allow two hours three times a week to complete assignments. I only 2 hours for any projects/assessments. I break my classes down to days instead of overstimulating myself trying to take it all in at once. So, Sunday will be one class Monday will be another etc. I will use my community tool and 24/7 tutoring if I ever feel I do not fully understand a concept or assignment.
I will use my calendar for my time management along with giving me extra time and if I choose to use it or not will allow me to plan for the following week, I plan to build my skills to continue my education to successfully get my career choice that I desire.
