Dear Mr. Jones, Please consider my application for the Nutritionist position. I have read your values and the service to our local community; which brings me to want to become the best candidate to strive to serve our community. Under direction, is responsible for supervising and directing the operation of a clinic and/or program site of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Exercises functional supervision over assigned personnel. This position is a "grant funded" position, therefore unclassified and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason. The San Antonio Metro Health District (SAMHD) provides public health services to clients, which may include risk for exposure to and possible transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases. Employees in high-risk positions will be required to obtain relevant immunizations, per SAMHD Policy DM13.2 (Download PDF reader) . Review and consideration will be given to requests for exemption from this policy. My name is Gabriela Molina and am applying to your nutritionist position to track and contribute to the poor health outcomes our South Texas region has been suffering Nearly 4 million Texans struggle with hunger and food insecurity We need to try and research the leading for this increase so that our citizens of Texas are better taken care. The values I bring come from my education and fieldwork. My experience working in medical clinics alongside physicians looking at charts, scripting, and analyzing blood results with the doctor. I have a better understanding that many of our Texans need a great balance with fewer medications and we can work together to bring better options for better consumption of nutrition.
