ATTN: Dr Nebuwa, Rasmussen Hospital CEO RE: Quality Of Patient Care (2023)
It was recently brought to my attention that you had a concern on the quality of care that our patients are receiving. Attached below are the statistic that you have requested for the previous year, 2023. You will find information on the average length of stay, the post-operative infection rate, and the post-operative death rate. The data is lacking the average stay per patient however I was able to calculate the average monthly stay. The number or average patients that are staying per month is 2,615.
Below
you will see the data compiled. This report shows that the rates of post-operative infections alter from month to month with the highest rate being 11.1%
in July with the lowest rate of 4.7%
in December. A similar alter trend can be seen in the post-operative death rates with the highest rate
being 21.7%
in April and the lowest rate 7.3%
in August. It appears that we have a much higher, just about double the rate of post-operative deaths in comparison to the post-operative infection rates which can be quite concerning. I do however, hope that you were able to find the needed information within this data to ensure that the level of quality care being given meets your expectations. If there is anything else you may need please let me know. Post-Operative Infection
