Running Head: Module 5 Health Communication Activity The objective of this communication plan is to enhance the engagement of stakeholders and raise money to continue funding the amazing work of the Gordon Hartman Family Foundation. The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation is a foundation that provides funding to non-profit organizations that serve individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities (2023). Gordon and Maggie Hartman developed the foundation after gaining the motivation from raising
their daughter Morgan who has physical and cognitive disabilities and encountering daily obstacles (2023). With the communication plan we aim to reach potential stakeholders who will hear the heartwarming story surrounding The Gordon Hartman Family Foundation and give generously so that we can continue supporting other families who face similar obstacles. Through the use of effective campaign ads that shed light on the obstacles in place broadcasted on television, we aim
to reach a broader audience in the hope of gaining potential stakeholder attention. In addition to the use of campaign ads, we will host bi-monthly brunch events to network with the varying individuals who are eager to learn and engage in our foundation. During the bi-monthly brunch events, attendees will have the opportunity to meet Morgan
and the founders and hear their stories and many stories like their own. The attendees will also be
able to see firsthand where their generous donations will be applied, such as the expansion of outreach to many nonprofit organizations that share the same mission and values as our foundation. Based on the Uses and Gratification theory, I was able to determine a proper mode of communication and effective engagement strategies for my potential clients. The Uses and Gratification theory explains why or how individuals attain their goals through specific media and channels (Green, 2024). In other words, individuals use media for their gain or benefit. One
