Week 04 Application: Eight Areas of Responsibility The Eight Areas of Responsibility for Health Education Specialists Included in the Eight Areas of Responsibilities is a list of Competencies and Sub-competencies which define the role of health education specialists. Reflect on this list (see the W04 Study: Eight Areas of Responsibilities page for the complete list) and complete the following: 1. Select three Areas of Responsibility that interest you and answer the following questions about each (Minimum word count of 100 words for each area): a. Area of Responsibility 1: Planning i. Why does this Area of Responsibility interest you? This section interests me because I enjoy planning and being organized. I feel that if I lack planning things don’t seem as in order as I would like them to be. ii. What are some ways you can develop skills in this area? When I prioritize planning, I think I will realize goals I have not thought of yet. This area of responsibility will allow me measure out how much time I should spend planning. iii. How can having competencies in this area help you in your career or life? I think this area will allow me to get to my results a lot quicker, by being able to plan out certain areas it is that I need to plan out will encourage me to not get sidetracked or distracted. b. Area of Responsibility 2: Implementation i. Why does this Area of Responsibility interest you? Implementation is really important; it allows you to establish and develop. ii. What are some ways you can develop skills in this area? This area will allow me to get to the point and understand there is a process on how to get results iii. How can having competencies in this area help you in your career or life? It will help me understand that there is an end to all the hard work I will do throughout the areas included in the areas of responsibility. c. Area of Responsibility 3: Communication i. Why does this Area of Responsibility interest you? Fall 2022 PUBH 240: Introduction to Public Health
Week 04 Application: Eight Areas of Responsibility This area interests me because Communication is really important to utilize throughout your life as well as you career. This area allows people who help with planning to be included, so whatever that they are involved in their knowledge or assistance won’t go unnoticed. It’s always great to have another perspective to go use. ii. What are some ways you can develop skills in this area? I think this area will allow me to learn how to communicate even when it means someone may not agree with me. iii. How can having competencies in this area help you in your career or life? I this area will help me throughout my life because one cannot get by without communicating. 2. What are some things you can do right now to develop some of the competencies listed in the Areas of Responsibility (Minimum word count of 100 words)? Some of the things I can do right now to help me apply the competencies from above that interested me the most is by applying them in anyway that I can. I think the more I utilize these actions, the more practice I will have to use them when they become most important.
