Kiely Macdowell Px4793 1 October 2023 Fast Food Analysis The fast food restaurant I chose to analyze is Chick-Fil-A. I don’t eat here often, but when it is an option I will typically opt for this. Chick-Fil-A is typically known for their chicken- it’s the main component of most of their menu items. As a fast food chain restaurant, I would say it is unhealthy but I think in comparison to something like McDonalds or Burger King- this is probably the better option because of the different items they offer. The meal I will be analyzing is their Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich combo meal, as I feel this is something that most would order when going to their establishment. Standardly, the chicken sandwich combo comes with 1 chicken sandwich, a medium sized fry and a medium drink. Chicken Sandwich Calories: 420 Total fat: 18g Saturated fat: 3.5g Sodium: 1460mg Fiber: 1g Medium Waffle Cut Fry Calories: 420 Total fat: 24g Saturated fat: 4g Sodium: 240mg Fiber: 5g Medium Lemonade Calories: 220 Total fat: 0g Saturated fat: 0g Sodium: 10mg Fiber: 0g As for a healthier option, I decided to go with something that was a healthier option but didn’t stray from the chicken sandwich that is fried. Luckily, most main items at Chick-Fil-A offer a substitute for grilled chicken instead of chicken that is fried. As for side options, you could opt for a side salad or a fruit cup but typically when going out to a fast food restaurant most would opt for fries. Instead of receiving the standard medium fry, they could opt for a small fry instead. That way the purchaser is enjoying the restaurant but opting for healthier options- even if it is downsizing the fries and choosing a healthier beverage option.
