Goals of Implementing HER The Importance of Setting Goals When Implementing an EHR The importance of goals being established when implementing an EHR within an organization and with benefit expectations for the EHR in healthcare. This essay will be touching on smart goal setting and stretch goal setting, smart (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound) goal setting means anyone can read it, can understand, what will be done, and who will do it. The setting goal setting high-effort and high-risk goal it is intentionally set above normal standards to attract exponential rewards, opportunities, and experience. The cases that will be presented in this essay are Reducing Vaccine Preventable Disease through Immunization Registries and Quality Improvement in a Primary Care Practice. At the end of the essay we are going to conclude what kind of setting each article have with the specific study goals that both articles have. The history of Smart goal setting has been around since November 1981, its gained popularity for the clear and simple framework by defining and managing goals with objectives (Haughey, 2014). The STRETCH goal setting came about in the 1990s when the organization named Apple However, the data governance wasn’t just solely based upon what it does for health informatics, there were three key drivers that impact health informatics. Capability can help with health informatics by requirement of analytical thinking, Artificial intelligence, Data analysis and problem solving (Courseera, 2023). Simplicity can be useful for health informatics by being able to understand how to improve patient experience by organizing, storing, and managing health data through the use of electronic health records.
